About Me

I’m a senior technology architect and engineering leader with more than 20 years of experience designing and delivering software platforms, cloud architectures, data systems, and enterprise solutions. Over the course of my career, I’ve architected, built, and shipped more than a dozen products, ranging from native mobile applications to large-scale data and analytics platforms.

My work sits at the intersection of product strategy, cloud infrastructure, data platforms, AI, and enterprise architecture. I’m as comfortable working with stakeholders to shape technical strategy and platform direction as I am diving into the implementation details and building the systems that make those ideas real.

Currently, I’m a Cloud Architect at MasterControl, where I focus on AI and real-time data systems. My work includes shaping the company’s AI platform, architecting enterprise data capabilities, and driving scalable, governed infrastructure in a highly regulated environment.

More broadly, I’m drawn to building. Beyond enterprise architecture, I’ve created and explored products in compliance-focused SaaS, auction technology, data-driven sports platforms, and AI-powered workflows. I bring a product mindset to technology, with a focus on building systems that are practical, scalable, and valuable to the people who use them.

How I Use AI

AI is a force multiplier — but it's only as good as the data behind it.

I use AI to enhance what I build — not to replace the craft of writing software, but to improve it. It helps me solve problems faster, explore ideas more broadly, and accelerate how I learn and apply new technologies.

My biggest focus is providing AI with good data. Garbage in, garbage out — that principle hasn't changed. Whether I'm shaping a prompt, building a data pipeline, or designing a customer solution, the quality of the data is always the starting point. Good data gets good results from AI, and wrangling that data is where I spend my energy.

AI is also not a replacement for good communication. Sitting with stakeholders, truly understanding what they need, and accurately capturing their asks — that's still a deeply human skill. Distilling those conversations into sound architecture can't be fully replaced by AI, but it can absolutely help sharpen and accelerate the process.

Family is the center of everything. Time spent together — whether traveling, at the ball field, or around the dinner table — is what matters most.

I love competition — triathlons, short races, long races. Disciplined training is a core part of my routine, and the habits that come from consistent physical effort — focus, structure, resilience — carry into everything I do.
